To ensure a future where the marginalized indigenous Banyala community is resiliently and credibly reconstructing their lost ethnic identity through organizing and cultivating their cultural heritage.

Our Mission

To empower the marginalized indigenous ethnic Banyala community to reclaim their lost cultural heritage, glory and practices for unity and socio-economic development among the Banyala.

GOAL:

The goal of BCHF is:

To restore, uplift and uphold the cultural dignity of the Banyala community and their cherished practices for self-identity, unity and economic development.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

  • To promote Bunyala cultural identity.
  • To enhance the spirit of cohesion for team work among the Banyala.
  • To create awareness among the Bunyala community on the importance and purpose of Bunyala cultural identity.
  • To conserve the eco-system.
  • To promote treasured morals, norms and values among the Banyala community.
  • To enhance the social welfare of the Banyala community through emphasizing unity and cooperation.
  • To mobilise and sensitise communities within Bunyala on sustainable prosperity and economic development.
  • To initiate and manage income-generating enterprises and community projects in Bunyala.
  • To research, write and popularise Lunyala language.
  • To identify, for redress, development needs and concerns of the Banyala.
  • To collect, for analysis, and disseminate information on the social, cultural, economic and environmental issues amongst the Banyala.
  • To educate Banyala on land rights and importance of accessibility to land as a resource.
